Dakota Fanning Shows Off Her Punky, Bad Girl Side On The Set Of ‘Every Secret Thing’

Posted in : Gossips, Modeling

(added few months ago!)

Dakota Fanning is certainly no longer the little girl from War of the Worlds. The starlet has made quite the name for herself as a serious adult actress and she’s showing no signs of stopping. Dakota was spotted in New York City earlier today shooting scenes for her upcoming movie, Every Secret Thing.

The movie tell the story of a detective trying to uncover a mystery surrounding missing children, only to find that the prime suspects are two young women, who were put away seven years before for an infant’s death. Wow. This Dakota girl definitely doesn’t shy away from the big stuff.

The actress gave us a look at her punky character while filming outside of a bagel shop where her character works. Dakota can be seeing quietly smoking a cigarette before jumping into a blue van that stops for her. I cannot wait to see how this fits into the movie, or even which one of the characters Dakota is playing.

The movie also stars Elizabeth Banks and Diane Lane, so it’s definitely heavy on the powerful female characters. What do you think of the movie from our fist look at Dakota? Leave us your thoughts in the comments!

Having starred in both The Runaways and the Twilight Saga together, you might have anticipated that Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart might have formed something of a friendship. Now, speaking to next month’s Glamour magazine, Fanning confirms the bond between the two, and even goes into a little depth about the relationship they have.

Dakota Fanning Discusses Her Friendship With Kristen Stewart

Talking about K-Stew she claims; “”When we’re together, we’re not talking about movie stuff. She’s just my really good friend, you know? We go out. We stay in a lot too. I’m a homebody!”When the topic of Stewart’s much-publicised cheating scandal was brought up in Fanning’s previous InStyle interview, the actress was quick to defend her friend, saying; “Everyone thinks they have the right to, you know, publicize the struggles and sadness and heartbreak and all that. It’s like, ‘Why do you think you are the authority to judge people’s experiences?’”

Posted in : Gossips

(added few months ago!)

Dakota Fanning is already the next big thing - and when she's not doing that big screen, rising star stuff, she's pulling out some seriously cool wears. The white brocade coat, the denim cut-offs, the gold creepers - Dakota's got style. And this was just for a little shopping jaunt with friends in New York. P.S. she might just be the only girl left making pink dip dye look good. Ok, so now she's grown up and doing the grungy-gorgeous look, but remember when she was teeny tiny and matchy-matchy with sister Elle...

Dakota Fanning’s First Nude Scene In ‘Very Good Girls’

Posted in : Gossips

(added few months ago!)

Dakota Fanning, 19, shot her first nude scene in the film, Very Good Girls as soon as she turned 18 in February 2012. In a conversation with MTV, the actor, who first got our attention playing the daughter of a mentally challenged man in I Am Sam at age 7, explained why:

Dakota Fanning’s First Nude Scene In ‘Very Good Girls’

“‘Yeah, well, I’ve never done that before and I’m very newly allowed to do that,’ she explained to MTV News at the Sundance Film Festival, where she was out promoting the movie. ‘I was newly 18, so yeah, it was, it’s kind of a sensitive thing, but it’s a part of life.’”

Very Good Girls is the story of two girls from New York who agree to lose their virginity during their first summer out of high school. Their friendship is tested when they both find themselves attracted to the same guy.

The actor who plays that guy is Boyd Holbrook who is best known for his roles in the bio pic Milk and the TV mini-series Hatfields & McCoys.

Holbrook told MTV, ”As in life it’s not always so perfect and glossy and seamless. It’s quite awkward sometimes especially with that. This film’s about its going into life, first sexual experience, so it’s all about the environment and not taking it too serious.”

Dakota doesn’t have a lot of patience for people who are overly prudish about her career choices. In 2011 she appeared in an ad for Marc Jacobs perfume. The photo is of Dakota sitting on the floor with a large perfume bottle between her legs.

When asked about the controversy, she told Glamour: “If you want to read something into a perfume bottle, then I guess you can. But it’s also like, Why are you making it about that, you creep? I love Marc and trust him, and we just laughed about it.”

Dakota Fanning Defends Going Nude in New Film

Posted in : Gossips, Movies

(added few months ago!)

Dakota Fanning is growing up and baring all in her new film “Very Good Girls.”The 18-year-old actress has her first nude scene ever in the film, which she stars in alongside Elizabeth Olsen and Boyd Holbrook. “I’ve never done that before and I’m very newly allowed to do that,” she told MTV News at the Sundance Film Festival. “I was newly 18, so yeah, it was, it’s kind of a sensitive thing, but it’s a part of life.”

Dakota Fanning Defends Going Nude in New Film

The film follows Fanning and Olsen on their quest to lose their virginity but their friendship is tested when they fall for the same guy. Fanning has a sex scene with Holbrook in the film. “As in life, it’s not always so perfect and glossy and seamless,” Holbrook told MTV. “It’s quite awkward sometimes especially with that. This film’s about its going into life, first sexual experience, so it’s all about the environment and not taking it too serious.”

This isn’t Fanning’s first controversial role. She came under fire in 2007 for a dramatic rape scene in the film, “Hounddog.” Although there was no nudity or simulation of sexual acts, Fanning was 12-years-old at the time. Some critics and religious groups said she was too young to play a rape victim. Then too, she defended the film and the role, saying of the rape scene, “It’s not really happening. It’s a movie, and it’s called acting.”
